Chelsey Cook is a writer, editor, and artist focused on the intersection of landscape, culture, and the human experience. She is particularly interested in creating place-based art, using place names to deepen connections to a landscape, and rewriting historically masculine adventure narratives through a feminist lens. She holds a Master’s in Creative Writing from Cambridge, and is currently working on a second master’s studying coastal and maritime communities.
Beyond writing and her art, Chelsey also works in wildlife conservation, is a mountain guide, pilot, commercial fisherman, Army vet, frequent knitter, and cat lover. She calls Alaska home, likely always will, and is happiest outdoors.
